25 miles of diesel in the tank yet Hans-Peter, the most temperamental motor vehicle in the history of locomotion manages to bang out 45 miles. I thought I was going to be spending an evening in the back 1 night too early. So, Hans gets to Leek, pick up Mulcahy, sleep at Charlottes (Thank you mother and father Hudson), pick Dan up from Sheffield onto the Cliff or Alms.
Now, when you arrive at a bone dry almscliffe with a cool, gentle breeze blowing over it you can only expect one thing...... mint conditions, however, they were toss. Not too fret though and we move on to the County.
First stop, Kyloe- wow, what a lovely spot. Good days bouldering with some kyloe classic ticks. Next stop Manzils of Morpeth, ye what. Yup, met up with a friend from uni and had a tasty tasty indian followed by some scrabble and beer. Onto to Shaftoe with sufficient wind to power Hans Peter around the globe. Poor poor conditions at Shaftoe, would have probably been more appropriate to have a pair of 'pons and axes.
Slipstones.... Not sure exactly how we ended up here but we did and managed to salvage a day from nowhere with a brilliant afternoon session.
Message to self- I think I have an mild addiction to coffee.
